Review of the webit! anniversary year 2022
2023 is already a few days old, New Year's greetings have long been exchanged, the first resolutions have been abandoned, and thoughts are already turning towards spring. Nevertheless, let's take a quick look back at the year 2022. It was a truly special year for us: webit! turned 25 years old!
Since its founding by six students in 1997, a lot has happened. Our team has grown to 90 employees, our mini office at Robotron has turned into a beautiful, modern office loft. Our small web projects have now become major projects for internationally operating clients, and we are pleased to have a large number of loyal customers who have been working with us for many years. Good reasons to celebrate our anniversary properly.
In the team to Mallorca.
The highlight of the celebrations was definitely our trip to Mallorca. Together with all colleagues, we just wanted to celebrate ourselves and what we have achieved. No business, no workshops - just sun, fun, relaxation, celebrating together, and exploring the island. And so in mid-June, we flew from Dresden Airport to the Spanish Balearic Island. The beauty of Mallorca was admired, among other things, during the train journey on the historic Tren de Sóller. In addition, we partied at the Beach Club, explored Palma through a city rally, dived into caves, and discovered nature by bike or on foot. A real highlight was also the paella cooking class, where we experienced traditional Spanish cuisine and learned how to prepare an authentic paella. It can certainly be imagined that there was a lively discussion during the subsequent evaluation of the paellas by a jury of chefs. The shared time on the island ended with a dreamy evening at a beautiful Finca, not far from Palma. In this summery atmosphere and with a wonderful sunset, we ate, chatted, danced, and toasted to the shared time. It was the perfect conclusion to many unforgettable experiences on the Spanish island and definitely a highlight of 2022.
At the webit! customer day on September 15th.
Not only the webits should get something this year, but also our customers had an exciting event - our webit! Customer Day. This took place at the VW Manufaktur Dresden. The so-called Transparent Factory is a highlight for all those interested in automotive construction and technology. But not only that: Thanks to the extraordinary architecture, the building also becomes the ideal event location. The day started at 10 am with introductory words from our managing director Sven Haubold. This was followed by some expert presentations by webits on topics such as marketing automation, key figures in digital marketing, headless content management systems, and many more. During the final tour of the VW factory, there were exciting insights into the production and experience world of VW's new electric models.
The next event location was reached in style through the Great Garden with the Dresden Park Railway. It is a popular attraction in Dresden for all ages and offers a wonderful view of the city's greenery. Passing by various sights of the park, such as the Dresden Zoo, we now arrived at the Carolaschlösschen. In the middle of the park, right by the Carolasee, is the restaurant with its charming and cozy atmosphere - an ideal location for the summer party where our clients, partners, and webits came together and celebrated. Even though the weather didn't cooperate as planned, a large part of the evening was spent outdoors. The buffet offered a variety of delicacies and a female DJ created a lively atmosphere. Thus, a wonderful day filled with lots of input and plenty of fun came to an end.
So, one thing we can definitely say is: It's a shame that we don't celebrate our anniversary every year.
