How we work
Daily work routine at webit!
webit! has spacious, modern office spaces on two floors. Here you can find our individual workstations as well as our meeting rooms, where we regularly exchange ideas and work together on projects. However, the heart of the agency beats in our large kitchen with an adjoining rooftop terrace. There, we chop, cook, and chat together to recharge our batteries during break time. We firmly believe that we work so well together precisely because we have created many opportunities to make our workday flexible and enjoyable.
Independent work
We have several teams of developers, working on different client projects. Each team has responsible members who take care of project management, frontend and backend development. Additionally, there is a creative team for screen design and text ideas. Important threads, such as IT administration or team assistance, come together in a separate team. Apart from our management, we have no hierarchies. And that's a good thing: because we take care of everything together and independently that is needed for a self-organized, cross-functional workday.
Further development
We always strive to improve and therefore take advantage of every opportunity to further educate ourselves. This can happen internally through technical discussions at so-called hack tables, in lectures during our regularly held Scholar Days, or during brainstorming sessions in the Open Space. In addition, there are training sessions and certifications as well as conferences, user groups, and camps. Furthermore, every webit employee can suggest individual training opportunities to advance their own development.
Beyond work
webit! is more than just working together. For example, on Wednesdays we bake pizza together using a professional oven and perfected dough. In addition, webits regularly meet for sports events (such as beach volleyball, bike tours, or the REWE Team Challenge), game nights, or BBQ parties. At company events like the summer party or the Christmas party, everyone comes together to celebrate together.
