New corporate website for a specialist in the healthcare market

Since its founding in 1999, AAA Pharma has established itself as a key player in the German healthcare market. Headquartered in Böblingen, the company distributes generics across seven therapeutic areas and specializes in supplying prescription drugs through statutory health insurance providers.

As the company continued to grow, it was time to take its digital presence to the next level and position AAA Pharma even more clearly as a trusted partner for patients, physicians, and additional target groups such as health insurers, pharmacies, and medical service providers.

Goal

With the relaunch of its website, AAA Pharma aimed to present itself digitally in a modern and accessible way. The objective was to create a barrier-free, responsive corporate website that meets today’s standards for digital visibility and user experience. In addition to a clearly structured product and knowledge section primarily targeting patients, the website also includes a DocCheck-protected area with specialized information for physicians.

Implementation

We developed a technically powerful website based on the headless content management system Storyblok and Vercel. A central highlight is the ultra-fast full-text search with autocomplete, powered by Typesense, which intelligently delivers both product and knowledge content. The gated content area for medical professionals is secured via DocCheck integration.

Challenge

The project was defined by a very tight timeline – only a few months remained from kickoff to successful launch. In close coordination with all project stakeholders, we were still able to deliver a high-performance, visually appealing, and user-friendly website on schedule. To centrally manage editorial content such as product data or FAQs and automatically display it in various parts of the site, we implemented a database-driven application.

Result

The new website was launched just in time for the industry's most important trade fair. AAA Pharma now has a corporate website that is both informative and effective from a marketing perspective. Integrated with Brevo for email campaigns, the site captures newsletter sign-ups and automatically transfers user data to the tool. Users benefit from intuitive navigation, target group–oriented content, and a high-performance search function. The design— inspired by the shape of a pill blister — was created by the design agency Syndicate Design AG. It visually reflects the pharmaceutical context and translates the brand’s established yellow appearance into a modern digital environment.

Looking Ahead

Going live was only the first step for AAA Pharma: additional features such as an availability display, pharmacy locator, interaction checker, and interactive advisory tools are already in the planning stage. This project is a prime example of how complex websites can be realized in a short time using modern technologies like Storyblok – efficiently, scalably, and future-proof.
