GISA GmbH is a leading IT service provider specializing in the digitalization of business and administrative processes, offering comprehensive IT solutions for sectors such as the energy industry, the public sector, as well as for universities and research institutions.
The project
With its numerous service contracts, GISA faced the challenge of keeping track of the respective KPIs of the different services and customers, which were also stored in different systems. Therefore, we created a customized application, the Service Management Cockpit, which consolidates and presents important information in a clear and structured way. This makes the information situation much clearer for the employees, enabling them to identify deviations early and take countermeasures.

Our solution
The Service Management Cockpit
The KPI data, which comes from various systems of GISA, is processed and displayed by an application developed by us on corresponding overview and detail pages. A backend based on the Ruby-on-Rails web framework takes over the caching of the data, which also provides the interface for data import. This structure speeds up the entire process, as the data is already in the cache and does not need to be re-imported with each query. For better handling of customer projects, we have visually optimized the presentation of KPIs. The use of intuitive display elements such as charts, traffic lights, and speedometers supports the capture of complex information and makes it easier for GISA's service managers to identify trends and deviations from targets early and act quickly accordingly. The presentation of the Service Management Cockpit is responsive and therefore offers consistently high user-friendliness on any device. Through the implemented role system, display and level of detail are also tailored to various positions within the company.
